Rosh Hashanah Celebrations in Uman

This year, Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated from September 22 to 24. Uman traditionally becomes the center of festivities, as it is the burial place of Rebbe Nachman, the founder of Breslov Hasidism.

Local authorities expect 30,000–35,000 pilgrims to arrive, while the Hasidic community itself speaks of a possible turnout of up to 50,000 visitors. To ensure public safety, Ukrainian law enforcement is being assisted by their Israeli counterparts.
